Darin L. Rumer is an associate with Joseph, Greenwald & Laake.

Mr. Rumer routinely handles cases involving child custody and divorce litigation, separation agreements, child support and alimony issues, property distribution issues, domestic violence, and other areas of family law. Mr. Rumer aggressively pursues his client's rights in all domestic relations matters. In 2008, 2009, and 2010, Mr. Rumer was nominated by his peers for inclusion in the Maryland Super Lawyers, as a "rising star" in the field of family law. Mr. Rumer is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association, and Frederick County Bar Association.  

Prior to coming to joining Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, Mr. Rumer worked for established law firms where his practice consisted of family law, as well as general litigation, including collection matters, general business disputes, enforcement of covenants not to solicit or compete, and personal injury. He has participated in appellate actions including appeals to the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been admitted to practice in the local and state courts, as well as the United States District Courts, for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Eastern District of Virginia.   While in law school, Mr. Rumer interned for both the Tidewater Legal Aid Society and the United States Attorney 's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, giving him exposure to complicated civil and criminal lawsuits and a wide array of experience in representing his clients.

Mr. Rumer received two (2) Bachelor of Arts degrees from Clemson University in South Carolina and attended the Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he received numerous academic awards and honors, including the prestigious "Counselor at Law" Award presented by the faculty to one student in each graduating class.
