David S. Coaxum is a Partner at the firm, focusing his practice in all areas of family law, as well as civil litigation, administrative law, and transactional work for corporate clients. Mr. Coaxum has also previously worked as corporate counsel for a publicly traded telecommunications company, his civil litigation work includes contract disputes, real estate litigation, defamation, and zoning matters. He has additionally served as an ethics panel member for the Maryland State Attorney Grievance Commission and has been the treasurer for the Prince George's County Committee to Elect Sitting Judges since 2006. Born in New York City, Mr. Coaxum did his undergraduate studies at Howard University and obtained his law degree at The Catholic University of America in The District of Columbia. Mr. Coaxum is also a member of the adjunct faculty at the Howard University School of Law, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Pro Bono Resources Center (PBRC), a statewide coordinator of volunteer legal services in Maryland.
