Regina A. DeMeo is an experienced family law attorney, who was recently featured on ABC's Washington Business Tonight, the Washington Post and the American Bar Association Journal. She has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Divorce Lawyers in Montgomery County by Bethesda Magazine, in addition to being listed as a Rising Star by Maryland's Superlawyers the last two years in a row and mentioned in the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top in her field. She earned her B.S. from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1994 and her J.D. from George Washington University in 1998. Afterwards, she became certified in Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. Regina, who is fluent in Spanish, is currently President of Collaborative Divorce Association, Inc. in Maryland, which is an inter-disciplinary group of professionals in Montgomery County promoting Collaborative Divorce. She lectures regularly at Georgetown Law Center, George Washington University Law School and the DC Bar on Collaborative Divorce. She recently completed her three-year term as an elected member of the DC Bar's Family Law Steering Committee and began a two-year term on Maryland's Attorney Grievance Commission Peer Review Committee. She is a court-approved mediator for both the Circuit Court for Montgomery County and DC Family Court, and has repeatedly been a volunteer instructor for the DC Bar's Pro Se Divorce Clinic and an expert facilitator for the DC Family Court Self Help Center. Prior to moving to Maryland, Regina was very active in the DC Women's Bar Association from 1999-2004, as Secretary (2003-2004) and Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Practitioner's Forum (2001-2003). She is Class Notes Editor for Phillips Academy's Alumni Newsletter, and regularly attends events for all her alma maters. Presently she is a member of the DC Bar, Maryland State Bar, Bar Association of Montgomery County and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
