JGL at the Forefront of Class Action Cases Featured in The Washington Post
The front page of the business section of the Washington Post prominently featured two class action cases that are being litigated by attorneys at Joseph Greenwald & Laake, PA. Both cases allege widespread violation of the wage and hour laws.
The AIMCO case is being handled by attorneys Jay Holland, Steven Pavsner and Brian Markovitz, and alleges that AIMCO, the largest apartment management company in the country, failed to pay regular wages and overtime to maintenance personnel who were required to be on 24 hour "on-call" shifts. This case was filed as a national class action and is pending in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
The Walmart case is being handled by attorneys Steven Pavsner, Claire Buchner and Jay Holland and alleges that Walmart failed to pay regular wages and overtime to its employees by requiring that the employees work "off the clock" and through meal and break periods. Cases have been filed against Walmart in courts in many states, including Maryland. The Maryland case, which our attorneys are litigating, is pending in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County.
