Prenuptial Agreements
A prenuptial agreement is a contract between two people that intend to marry. It typically defines what will be considered marital, what will remain separate, and what will occur with respect to spousal support (alimony) in the event of a divorce. This agreement removes the uncertainty of how the parties will deal with these issues in the unfortunate event of a divorce. It is important not to wait until the last minute to prepare a prenuptial agreement.
