Joseph Greenwald & Laake proudly sponsored the annual Prince George’s County Bar Association fall membership meeting on Sept. 25. The meeting, held at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville, recognized the Honorable Toni E. Clarke of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court.
The Bar Association also presented the James H. Taylor Award. Both PGCBA members and non-members RSVPed to the membership meeting. Aside from presenting awards, the membership meeting provided attendees the opportunity to network in a relaxed setting. Networking was not limited to solely legal professionals, as the PGCBA has members from many professions, such as government officials. As such, the membership meetings provide valuable opportunities to initiate exchange between legally involved PGC professionals who may not otherwise be in contact.
JGL members in attendance included Steve Vinick, Jerry Miller, Debora Fajer-Smith, Matthew Kreiser, Matthew Bryant, Sarah Miller, Matthew Focht, Brenda Adimora and Jessica Richardson. Earlier in the month on Sept. 13, JGL principal Timothy Maloney hosted a Brown Bag Lunch event, where he gave “A Lively Legislative Update” to PGCBA attendees.
JGL is excited to continue its close relationship with the PGCBA through sponsoring the Fall Membership Meeting. JGL also sponsored the PGCBA’s Winter Membership Meeting on Febraury 27 of this year. Through sponsoring events like the Bar Association membership meetings, JGL remains committed to improving the Prince George’s County community and to being an integral part of the PGC legal community.
