Megan A. Benevento

Megan is an attorney in the firm’s complex civil litigation group. She handles a broad range of complex litigation matters for both plaintiffs and defendants before state and federal courts throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area, including: commercial disputes, constitutional law, class-actions, professional malpractice, complex injury, criminal defense, and child advocacy.

Beyond her typical civil litigation docket, Megan has robust experience in the field of child advocacy.  In 2018, Megan was recognized as one of Maryland's professional under forty "VIP" award winners for her contributions to the legal field and community, including successfully testifying in support of a Maryland bill to prevent child abuse and for her litigation work on behalf of abused children.

Megan attended Georgetown University Law Center where she graduated with pro-bono hours and was a member of the school’s inaugural class of leadership fellows. In her undergraduate years, Megan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oregon where she was recognized twice with the Deans Award for Service for service to the university and community. This award was due to Megan's extensive work in the community as a child advocate, as well as her leadership at the university where she served as the youngest, and only female, judge on the school's Constitutional Court while also serving on the college's Diversity and Student Affairs Advisory Community.

In her spare time, Megan also serves as the commissioner of the firm’s fantasy football league.
