Happy hour fundraising event for Mahasin El-Amin

On May 3rd, 2018 Joseph Greenwald & Laake proudly hosted a happy hour fundraiser in honor of Mahasin El-Amin, a candidate for Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County. In addition to participation from Joseph Greenwald & Laake, numerous other law firms supporting Mahasin were in attendance. JGL principal Steve Vinick was one of the key organizers of the successful event.

Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Mahasin has long been commited to her home community. After graduating from Suitland High School in Forestville, Maryland, Mahasin completed her undergraduate studies at the prestigious University of Florida before returning to Maryland to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Professionally, Mahasin has served as law clerk to the Honorable Beverly J. Woodard, Associate Judge for Prince George’s County Circuit Court. She also provided pro bono representation to low-income clients in the Prince George’s community during her time with the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau. When not working, Mahasin served as president of President of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Inc.
