Headshot Evan Marmie

“Your life is my practice – and I know what is on the line when I’m practicing.”

Evan Marmie has an extensive history of compassionate practice. Evan’s legal career started in the non-profit world representing domestic violence victims obtaining protection and separation from their abusers at the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.

The lessons he learned in his first years of practice informs his approach to this day and gives him a unique perspective on understanding the challenges of a high conflict divorce and the ways that abuse can color the ending of a relationship. His work centers the client’s needs, both emotional and physical, to ensure that the client knows that they are not going through the anguish of divorce alone.

For Evan, the same understanding that informed his practice in his first years informs his practice through to today. Of the utmost importance to his practice is a combination of education, respect, and support for each client. His approach ensures that the client feels informed and involved in each decision made along the way. Ultimately, his goal is to ensure the very best possible outcome for each client in his care.
