Gary Mitchell

“My primary goal with every client, no matter how daunting of a challenge they may be facing, is to advocate for them in a way that brings them peace of mind.”

Gary Mitchell helps clients who have faced discrimination in the workplace based upon their age, race, gender, nation of origin, and disability, as well as those engaged in disputes with their employers over improper or non-payment of wages. He also counsels clients regarding issues with employment contracts, partnership agreements, and non-compete agreements.

In his civil litigation practice, Gary assists clients who experience violations of their civil rights through unlawful arrests, searches, and seizures, and those who suffer injuries and trauma from law enforcement officers’ use of excessive force. Gary also represents clients in personal injury cases who were injured as a result of negligent or intentional conduct.

Prior to joining Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, Gary worked as a staff attorney at the Appellate Court of Maryland, previously called the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, where he composed draft opinions for the Court in cases resolving all manner of issues raised in appeals from both civil and criminal cases.
