Nick is an associate in Joseph Greenwald & Laake’s Civil Litigation Group, and participates in a variety of litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. Before joining Joseph Greenwald & Laake, Nick worked as a litigation associate at a large law firm in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he focused on commercial litigation and tort claims, including representation of plaintiffs in personal injury matters and civil actions related to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
Nick earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. During law school, he participated in Georgetown’s Domestic Violence Clinic, assisting victims of domestic violence in obtaining temporary protective orders against their abusers, and in Georgetown’s Sexual Violence Practicum, working as an intern for a nonprofit organization focused on improving prosecution of sexual and domestic violence. He was an articles editor for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law, and was recognized at the 2016 American Constitution Society National Convention for his entry in the Constance Baker Motley National Student Writing Competition.
Prior to law school, Nick earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Utah.
Nick is admitted to practice in Utah and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. He works under the direct supervision of attorneys admitted to the Maryland Bar.
