As a principal in Joseph, Greenwald & Laake’s Family Law practice, Darin Rumer provides compassionate counsel to clients as they navigate difficult and stressful times in their lives. Darin’s calm demeanor and ability to diffuse tense situations has earned him accolades from mediators, judges, clients and opposing parties, and he takes pride in the fact that many former clients routinely send cards, letters, emails and photographs with updates of their and their children’s successes well after a litigation has concluded. A dedicated advocate, Darin is willing to go to the mat, but he also understands that a negotiated resolution is in many clients’ best interests.
As an undergraduate, Darin studied psychology and since has worked with children and adolescents. This background helps him advise clients in family law matters, including child custody and divorce litigation, separation agreements, child support and alimony issues, property distribution issues, domestic violence, and other areas.
Outside of work, Darin enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and young children, and is an avid fan of the Clemson and Ohio State football teams.
